LUCKNOW: In a reference to Kashi and Mathura UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said in Vidhansabha ‘Krishna asked for five villages but Hindus seeks only three places of worship’.

He also quoted, “In Mahabharat, Duryodhan said he will not give Pandavas land even equivalent to a needle’s tip so Mahabharat was certain to happen”.

Allahabad court has recently allowed puja at Gyanvapi temple in Varanasi which was under the mosque control since last 30 years. He said “When people saw the festivities in Ayodhya, Nandi baba also said why should he wait and barricades were removed overnight. Aur hamare Krishna Kanhaiya kahan manane wale hain”

Few months ago, Yogi said in an interview that “if we call Gyanvapi a mosque then there would be dispute”.  Hindu side have always said that Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura are among the holiest sites of hindus which were demolished by the Muslim invaders and they will not rest till they have possession of these three places.

Hindu side has maintained law and order and want the judiciary to settle the dispute. In a response to the Right to Information (RTI) query, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) claimed that a temple at the site of Krishna Janmabhoomi Complex was demolished by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb for building a mosque in Mathura district in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
