Curfew has been imposed in Haldwani as CM Pushkar Singh Dhami gives Shoot at sight order to police

 

Haldwani, Uttarakhand:  Pushkar Singh Dhami government issues Shoot at sight orders to police in Haldwani.

Earlier today, the local civic body demolished an illegal madrasa near the Banbhulpura police station in Haldwani. Following this, clashes broke out as miscreants threw stones at police officers and set vehicles on fire, including a police car.

News coming in from unconfirmed sources is 2 are dead and more than 300 are injured.

Radicals had thrown stones at police officers and set vehicles on fire after illegal madrasa on Govt. land was razed by authorities.

Mob set a transformer on fire which resulted power outage in the area. Several journalists and administrations officers were trapped inside police station.

Nainital Police on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle informed that curfew has been imposed in the city of Haldwani and requested people to not come out from their homes as shoot at sight orders has been received for the rioters.
