BJP has declared Govinda Dholakia as Rajya Sabha Candidate
The BJP has chosen Govind Dholakia, the respected founder chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK) in Surat, to run for the Rajya Sabha elections from Gujarat. This nomination marks a significant moment as it’s the first time the Surat-based diamond industry has received representation in the Upper House of Parliament.
Dholakia, who started from modest beginnings and achieved great success, expressed his happiness about the opportunity. “Coming from a family of farmers, my journey to entrepreneurship has been a source of joy. I found out about my nomination just four hours ago. Surely, the BJP leaders must have thought carefully about my candidacy before deciding on my name.”
